Stay Informed
Our goal at Lake Huron Credit Union is to provide you with the tools and knowledge to protect yourself from scams and keep your personal and financial information secure.

Keep Your Information Private
Never share your account number, card number, CVV, or PIN online. A message from the LHCU fraud department will never ask for personal or account information.

Monitor Your Accounts for Suspicious Activity
Carefully review your statements regularly to ensure your account is secure. If you identify any unauthorized or unfamiliar activity, contact us immediately.

Use Strong Passwords
A strong password should be composed of 8-12 characters, an uppercase letter, lowercase letter, numbers, and symbols. Never share your passwords with anyone!

Do not Click on Unfamiliar Links or Attachments
If you receive a text or email instructing you open a link or attachment, DO NOT CLICK. Even if the source seems legitimate, seek a known number to verify the request before taking action.

Do Not Respond to Unfamiliar Messages or Phone Calls
Be skeptical of unanticipated texts and phone calls. Do not answer phone calls from unknown numbers. A message from the LHCU fraud department comes from a non-phone number.
If you are ever unsure of the validity of a request, please contact us directly.
